I have been designing websites since 1994. From 1998 to 2007 I worked as the webmaster for Klasky Csupo animation (Rugrats). I designed early websites for The Viper Room club, musician David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets), and numerous restaurants, artists, and businesses. I work in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Quark, InDesign, Word, Exel, PowerPoint, and various audio and video programs. One of the most popular things I ever did on the web was a parody of the Jack Chick evangelical comic tracts using the Cthulhu mythos. This piece received a cease and desist letter from Chick's lawyers when it was first published online in 2000. When this happened, numerous other sites put it up and its popularity grew. It even inspired a You Tube video version. Here's the piece as I designed it. Please don't sue me Mr. Chick. I'm truly sorry for misrepresenting you. This was made as a parody and should be protected as such under parody laws in this country. Freedom of the Press and all. (Is the internet press?) Anyway, by now, years later... it has grown into a phenomenon beyond my control. I guess you could say it's a digital art artifact. |
One of the weirdest things that I ever designed was BROOF.COM. You need Flash to see it, so it can't play on Iphones. It features my friend Taylor Stacy as "The Broof Man", saying "BROOOOOF" over and over again. People have told me it's one of the greatest things I've ever done. |
When I worked for Klasky Csupo, I created games, episode guides, printable posters, and character pages for their cartoons Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, As Told By Ginger, Duckman, Stressed Eric, Santo Bugito, AAAHH!! Real Monsters!, The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald and Rugrats: All Grown Up. COOLTOONS was so popular that at its peak in 2000 it was being visited by 50,000 people a day. You need Flash to view it. CLICK HERE or below: |
